Helmar May Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone! Checkout the fab sketch challenge this month over on the Helmar Challenge blog here. 

Here is the fab sketch designed by the always fab Lydell Quinn!

And here is my take on the sketch using the gorgeous Scrap Cake One Moment in Time Collection Papers. The Helmar goodies used for this layout include my fave Scrap Dots & Permanent Adhesive Runner. 450 was used for the beaded trim :)

All the gorgeous papers were distressed using my Inksentials Blending Tool and some Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. 

The doiley has been spritzed with some Cotton Candy Pink Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Spray and then inked with the same Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.

I just love these cute photos of me and my new niece. Instagram is a fabulous app that is one of my faves because even though I have my hair thrown back in a messy bun and my face without makeup and looking terrible, yet the photos with instagram seem to make me look ok haha. Plus I love the retro feel of the photos and how soft they look.

A Mini Album In Progress "About a Girl"

Hi everyone!!! Hoping you are all well. I have been a busy bee making various projects but I wanted to share a quick sneak peak of a current Work In Progress for WOW Embossing Powders.

How cute is this mini Canvas Album? I have had this album in my stash for a while now and I cannot remember where I got it from but you will have to wait and see the reveal on the WOW Embossing Powder Blog on the 31st May to see the pages hehehehehe. Evil aren't I? LOL

So back in March my sister in law celebrated her birthday and I promised to make her an album for her present as she became a new mummy this year for the first time. Of course this album is About a Girl and that girl is my beautiful new baby niece Aurora.

The Canvas Cover was created using the Punchinella Crafters Workshop Template and some Clear Embossing Powder after the whole surface was of course covered in Gesso. I have then sprayed the surface with Cherub Pink Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

The papers used on the cover are from the Cést La Vie Collection from Melissa Frances. The fabulous flowers are from Prima & Passion 4 Paper and of course the gorgeous Chipboard title is from A2Z Scraplets and was coated with some Coppertail Brown Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stains. The gorgeous butterfly is embossed using Bright White Opaque Embossing Powder from WOW and the Build a Butterfly Stamp Set also from WOW. The butterfly was stamped onto Patterned Paper from the Melissa Frances Collection and then some Distress Inks were added using a Ranger Inksentials Watercolour Brush.

There are also lots of beautiful pearls added from Flourish with a Bling as well as a Laser Cut Flourish. The spine of the book has had a 3 layer ribbon treatment and then adorned with some pearls. There will still be a couple more embossed additions to the front cover but I am very excited to share the entire album with you all on my Blog post on the WOW Blog on the 31st May. The Color Room Palette #110

The current palette over at the Color Room is so bright and beautiful! I was really inspired by Janine's fabulous example this week.

I have used the gorgeous Basic Grey Picadilly Collection for this layout of my CARAZZYYY Niece Kirra! 

Using my Ranger Inksentials Blending Tool I have added some distressing to all the patterned papers with Brushed Corduroy Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

The paper doiley in the background has been spritzed with California Poppy Gold Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Spray.

May Sketch from Purple Pumpkin

I have used the gorgeous Spring Jubilee Collection from Pink Paislee for this layout.

There are lots of beautiful layers on this layout including paper doilies that have been misted with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays which are available from Passion 4 Paper at only $5.95 each!!! How amazing is that price? The cheesecloth has also been misted with the Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays.

The gorgeous title from A2Z Scraplets has been misted and then a coat of Glossy Accents added. You can also see some Purple Pumpkin tickets and buttons peaking out from around the Flower clusters.

Lots of crackle accents were added to elements like the butterflies and pennants. I have also used some Pink Bakers Twine from Purple Pumpkin!

The super cute pink doilies are from a 12x12 lace paper that I got from Stampin Up!

Handmade Halo's new Angel!

Hi everyone! In case you hadn't seen me raving about it on my facebook page, I was recently given a new role as a Handmade Halo Angel!!!!! I am so excited to be part of the amazing design team for this store. 

I have always been a HUGE fan of this shop and here are just a few of my recent creations with their amazing products....

This first layout "Plaster Fun" is using the gorgeous Scrap Cake Collection "One Moment in Time" as well as some fabulous Brass Charms from Handmade Halo.

I just love adding charms and other little treasures to flower clustors.

I have inked all the edges with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks which make the papers have a different depth.

Lots of beautiful elements on this page including Paper Doilies and lace that have all been spritzed with beautiful sprays from the Lindys Stamp Gang Starbursts range.

This next fabulous layout was created using some fabulous Dylusions Sprays from Passion 4 Paper, some gorgeous chipboard from A2Z Scraplets and of course the fabulous Scrap Cake Collection "My Private Happiness". There are also some gorgeous resin flowers scattered and hidden as well as some Antique Brass Charms amongst this layout.

The background for this layout was created using a White 12x12 Cardstock and some Dylusions Ink Sprays with Crafters Workshop Templates. There is also a lot of Flourish with a Bling Pearls scattered on the background. 

I just love adding a touch of texture to a layout with fabrics. This layout has burlap, cheesecloth and lace added.

I just love how many layers of treasures there are on this layout.

There was lots of fussy cutting to this layout but the elements on the patterned papers in this range I felt called for it.

And a closeup of the gorgeous photos of my girls feeding the ducks down by the stream.

This next layout was created using the 12x12 Burlap from Canvas Corp. Amongst some amazing Prima Papers and flowers, there is also lots of hidden treasures including Antique Brass Charms and Chipboard hearts from A2Z Scraplets.

This beautiful layout has some beautiful textured gesso elements on the background which have been sprayed using Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays.

Amongst some beautiful Prima Felt Vines and flowers there are some beautiful die cut shapes from the Prima Natures Garden Collection using a My Favorite Things Die-namics.

Here are some closeups of this amazing cluster where you can see the glimpses of the pretty little treasures amongst.

The gorgeous little Chipboard hearts were coated with some Gesso and Starburst sprays as well as some Liquid Pearls.

This last layout is yet another using the gorgeous "My Private Happiness" collection from Scrap Cake and available at Handmade Halo.

I have created this layout for my Sister in Law and my beautiful new Niece. 

The Background on this layout was created using Gesso, Cheesecloth and Dylusions Ink Sprays.

I just love these border strips from the Scrap Cake! And the Flourish with a Bling Grace Flourish worked a treat for this layout.

Once Upon A ...Sketch May Challenge

I just love the current Sketch Challenge over at Once Upon A ...Sketch this month. 

Here is my take on the sketch along the theme of MUM :) This gorgeous photo of Mia and I is an absolute fave. The love of a mother for her child is truly unconditional. Miss Mia turns 5 in a couple of weeks which is making me a little teary looking at this photo and knowing how quickly she has grown. 

For this layout I have used the fabulous C'est La Vie Collection from Melissa Frances and OH MY GOODNESS I am in LOVEEEEEEE with this collection! The Patterned Papers are simply breathtaking and the embellishments available are uber cute!

The Doilies and flowers have been sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays and so have the Prima Canvas Resist Pieces. Additional details were added using Distress Inks and Stains as well. 

A Mother's Love Chipboard title from A2Z Scraplets was of course simply perfect for this layout and I have just sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist and added some Distress Stickles. 

The lace in the background has had some Distress Inks used on the edges and then sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays. The Distress Inks wick out when water is added and that is how the gradual tone was created on the lace. The cute little banners are from the C`est La Vie Collection from Melissa Frances and I have just added some pearls and inked the edges. 

Around the flower cluster and underneath there is lots of lovely little details and textures. A Flourish with a Bling Pearl Flourish was cut up to suit the cluster and a Weathered Clock Die was cut out of Canvas and then Embossed using WOW Embossing Powders.
